Losing weight is not always done to look better, have a size less but being overweight can also pose health risks (high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, etc.). What are proteins or proteins?
Protein not only gives you muscle but sufficient protein is very important for your health, your hormone balance and has a lot of other health benefits as well:
- Proteins are building materials: they are needed to build and maintain muscles, cells and skin
- Protein makes you feel good about yourself: if your diet lacks protein and thus amino acids (serotin), you can feel unhappy and down
- Protein allows your liver to detoxify: an overworked liver can make it harder for you to lose weight and have less energy
- Protein ensures beautiful skin and combats skin aging: the protein collagen plays a major role in this. Collagen is needed to firm the skin from within and make wrinkles less visible.

Low carbohydrate and ketosis

How does a protein diet work?
The Pro10 weight loss program is a personalized weight loss program that is always supervised. It always starts with an intake interview, weighing and body analysis. The course of the program depends on several factors:

Proteins are made up of amino acids. There are 20 amino acids of which 8 are essential. Essential means that the body cannot make them itself. So the body is obliged to get them from food. Therefore, it is important to choose good quality proteins and spread them throughout the day (4 to 5/day).
Powerful sources of protein include: meat, poultry, fish, seafood, soy, eggs, nuts and seeds. Protein shakes, protein bars, protein cookies, protein chips are an easy, healthy and delicious way to get extra protein. We need about 1 g of protein/kg body weight per day to build and maintain our skin, muscle and organ. So not only interesting for losing weight but also for athletes! Also ideal for supplementing protein when eating vegetarian or vegan.
Roadmap to a healthy weight
1. Strict phase
In the first program, you lose the most weight. You are now following a strict diet based on protein portions (Pro10 and meat/fish/eggs) combined with 2x/day greens. Be creative with the vegetables, you can wok them, stew them, steam them, eat them as soup or eat them raw. High-carbohydrate foods such as bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, fruit, alcohol, cakes … are not allowed.
The first few days can be a bit of withdrawal, but don’t worry, together we’ll get through it.
2. Mixed phase
In this phase, proteins such as fine meats, meat, fish or dairy are reintroduced into the schedule twice daily. You also continue to use greens 2x/day. You basically take a lunch and dinner with vegetables and meat but no carbs.
You can easily combine this phase with your family and can also be done as a starter phase. We recommend this phase until you reach your desired weight or until when you enjoy eating bread and fruit. What you feel comfortable with is important to us.
3. Construction phase
This phase no longer has the goal of losing weight but is a necessary step to keep your new weight stable in the long run. In this phase, the Pro10 breakfast is exchanged for a grain product (bread, oatmeal, pistolet, etc.) and dairy (flat cheese, Greek yogurt, etc.). As a 10-hour snack, you may eat a serving of fruit.
It is very important to stick to this schedule. Only in this way can your body get used to the build-up of carbohydrates. Do you only have a few pounds to lose? Then this is the ideal entry stage.
4. Stabilization phase
This phase is super important for maintaining your new weight for good. You now switch to a balanced diet with 2 meals of natural protein and 2 or 3 snacks in between. Choose fruit as a snack or want a sweet snack get the Pro10 bars or desserts.
You have achieved your goal. You can eat anything again! No food is forbidden, you have mastered your good eating habits and you can eat what you want in sufficient and balanced quantities. You do this phase to maintain weight and a healthy lifestyle.
